Dental RestorationsOur Approach to Restorative Dentistry

First, Dr. Worthington must address your overall dental health. This includes treating any tooth decay with interventions such as composite or tooth-colored fillings. To maintain your smile's beauty, Dr. Worthington uses all tooth-colored material for fillings, crowns and bridgework.

Other procedures, such as ceramic crowns, can cover cracked, decayed or stained teeth. Dr. Worthington must first prepare the tooth by removing a portion of the enamel so the custom-made crown can fit seamlessly over your tooth.

Dental implants are another example of restorative dentistry. These implants are a permanent replacement to a missing tooth. The process involves implanting an artificial tooth root into your jawbone and attaching a dental crown to cover the implant, restoring your seamless smile.

How Do Dental Restorations Benefit Me?

While you may not always realize it, your smile is closely linked to your self-confidence. Also, your smile is one of the first aspects people notice about you. A cosmetically pleasing smile means you can present your best first impression and move through your daily interactions with confidence.

Additionally, restorative dentistry can strengthen your teeth and prevent further decay. Because Dr. Worthington is an advocate for preventive dentistry techniques, restorative dentistry can intervene to keep further decay from occurring. The results? A more beautiful, healthy smile through restorative dentistry.
